The Great Promise Part 3 of 4

Ezekiel 36:26-27

Here's the promise: "A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you, and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and you shall keep my judgements and do them."

These promises are fulfilled the moment we believe on Jesus for right standing with God.

We've seen that God gave us a new spirit, making us a new creation.

He also promised to remove our hard stony heart and give us a soft loving heart.

In the next part of this wonderful promise we are told that God will put His perfect, eternal, Jesus-raising Spirit in us!

That's right; you can be certain that you are God's child. His seed is in you.

His Spirit lives in you.

That makes you the temple of God.
That makes you and God inseparable.
That means you are completely compatible with the Holy God.

You're one with Him in a deeply profound way. (1 Corinthians 6:17)

Christ in you
You in Christ
You hidden with Christ in God
Christ being your life
Living, moving, and having your being in Him

This is the best news ever.

The last part of this great promise is possible because of the three parts we've looked at so far. In the next post, we'll look at that.
