How God Uses Us
How God Uses Us
For many, the idea of being used has nasty evil undertones that trigger memories and emotions of abuse suffered at the hands of flawed people.
God's "use" of us isn’t like that at all. Such a twisted kind of relationship would be anathema to Him. His character simply cannot allow it.
When we speak of being used by God, we are referring to Him being manifested or made more real to others through us as we live and move and exist in Him.
As we grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord, our minds are renewed, and we are transformed in our attitudes and actions. Over time, as we grow to know Him more intimately, we find ourselves increasingly desirous of godly behavior. We find that we are becoming more naturally loving. We begin to see kindness and compassion toward others flowing from us. These changes are an expression of the character of God having been inherited by us when we were spiritually reborn of His seed.
This sort of life is noticeable to those around us. It is like an aroma wafting from us wherever we go. Unlike air fresheners and deodorants that fade, this aroma gets stronger over time. As we mature in Christ, He is more consistently and accurately expressed in our daily living.
Father causes His fruit to be borne in exactly the right way for those He brings into our sphere of influence. It's a cooperative arrangement where we let, allow, and yield to His leading in us and He performs tiny miracles through our interactions with others, often without our notice.
