Sin and Remorse
You are Forgiven
Dear One in whom the Spirit dwells,
Father keeps no record of wrongs. (1 Corinthians 13:5)
Father is not counting your sins against you. (2 Corinthians 5:19)
Father said He no longer remembers your sins. (Hebrews 8:12)
Jesus died for sin once for all time. (Romans 6:10, Hebrews 7:27, 1 Peter 3:18)
Jesus took away your sin. (John 1:29, Romans 11:27, 1 John 3:5)
No more offering remains for sin. (Hebrews 10:18)
It is finished.
It's normal to feel sorry, remorseful, and regretful when you behave in ungodly ways. If those feelings make you want to apologize to Father, that's fine. Whether you do or not has no bearing on your forgiveness, however.
You are completely forgiven. Without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness, so nothing you do can change that. (Hebrews 9:22)
