Meet the Requirements

The Old Testament Law contains 613 rules, including the ten most famous. You know the ones; written on stone by the hand of God.

The Law is a complete set that cannot be taken apart. James 2:10 makes that clear. Break one piece and you're guilty of breaking it all.

No one could keep the Law because at the end of the day, the Law required absolute perfection. (see Acts 15:10 and Matthew 5:48)

So, God did it!

He did it by sending Jesus. God in an earthen vessel.

He did it for a very interesting reason. Not just so you could be forgiven. Something far more magnificent. He did it so that the requirements of the Law could be fulfilled in you!

Remember the ultimate requirement of the Law?
Absolute perfection. He said it very clearly in Matthew 5:48, "... you must be perfect as your Father in heaven is perfect."
The requirements of the Law are fulfilled in you.

Your spirit and His Spirit are fused. You in Him and He in you.
(see 1 Corinthians 6:17 and John 17:23)
Nothing imperfect can exist in God.

It is finished.
