Righteousness is a Gift

The Law was given by Moses.

Grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

In fact, Jesus is full of grace and truth. He is the way, the truth, and the life.

Jesus is the irrevocable gift of the Father, the good tidings of great joy for all people.

You can't work to get Jesus.
You can't work to get His righteousness.

These are gifts given through faith by the Grace of God to all who will believe.

If you could somehow achieve this by works, behavior, or ceremony and ritual, it would come because of a debt owed to you by God, but God is not your debtor.

Grace is a gift. It cannot be earned. Righteousness is obtained by believing that the gift is for you and opening it by faith.
