How to Expose Evil
How to Expose Evil
Ephesians 5:11 tells us to have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them.
But here’s the thing. Things in the dark are not exposed by standing in the dark decrying their evils. They are exposed by bringing light into the darkness, thus dispelling the darkness so that the evils are made visible.
Ephesians 5:13 makes this clear by telling us that all things that are exposed by light are made visible, by the light because light is what makes things visible.
You are children of light. Jesus, the light of the world lives in you. We are told in several places that we are light and should walk as children of light. Think about that. Everywhere we go gets illuminated when we are there. Godly things, such as loving others, shine His light on them.
Ephesians 5:8–9 “For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth)” (NIV)
1 John 1:5 “This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all.” (NIV)
You are in Him, Saint.
Go, light things up!
