This is the question that must be answered by everyone.
This is the question that must be answered by everyone.
We all know that the Lord Jesus atoned for our sins, right? Actually, He did far more than that.
Moses was a mediator between God and the people of Israel (see Galatians 3:19-20). Then under the New Covenant we are told that there is one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus (see 1 Timothy 2:5).
As we travel through enemy territory here in the valley of the shadow of death, we can remember that the Lord Jesus has subdued our enemy so that we can drive him out quickly.
Perhaps this is what James had in mind in James 4:7 when he wrote, “resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” (NASB 2020)
Jesus is awesome, and that is the biggest understatement in the history of the world.
The doctrine of the Trinity is the best way we have found to represent this three-yet-one, one-yet-three God, but like all such doctrine it is imperfect due to our limitations.
Jesus claimed to do nothing but what the Father told Him, and this passage tells us there is something He did not know. How is it then that we can say that the three Persons of the Trinity (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) are co-equal
Jesus is the representative man. Just as Adam represented all people when he chose to sin against God, so in Christ we are re-created, reborn, and made righteous when we choose to believe Him for it.
When Jesus was crucified, we were crucified with Him.When Jesus was raised, we who have agreed to be reconciled to God by Him were raised as well.
Jesus is the thread of Scripture. Jesus is the fulfillment of Scripture. Jesus is foreshadowed in the Old Testament and manifested in the New.
If the Old Testament makes anything clear, it makes it clear that God does not dwell in unclean unholy places. It also makes clear (as does the Revelation) that God dwells among His people. If we are not ACTUALLY righteous, holy, blameless, then He CANNOT live in us.

REVELATION Number 36Introducing the Lord JesusPart 4 In Revelation 3:1 we find the Lord’s letter to Sardis. A Religionist Finds the True Gospel There was once a religious zealot named Saul. He studied his religion under Gamaliel, the top teacher of the day. His credentials were many and included these, recorded in Philippians 3:4–6 (NASB 2020) 4 although I myself could boast as having confidence even in the flesh. If anyone else…
As He Is, So Are We I want to share my response with you to a question I once received. The questioner asked that I comment on the relationship between two passages of scripture, Philippians 2:6-7 and 1 John 4:17. As with many questions that arise from scripture, context is the key to understanding. Here…

Then heirs of their OT promises?” I’ll include a few verses here, but after you read this article, please carefully read Romans chapter…
Jesus Became Sin 2 Corinthians 5:21 “He made Him who knew no sin to be sin in our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.” (NASB 2020) “Jesus became sin” is just about the only way to express how He took away our sin. In the old covenant we see…
